Annual Luncheon and Membership Meeting
May 2, 2003 |
This meeting was held at the Player's Club and included a
delicious lunch, guest speaker and the installation of our newly
elected Board Officers. The speaker, Neil Spadaro is currently
the Commanding Officer and Counter Terrorism Coordinator for
Patrol Borough Manhattan South. He began his career in law
enforcement in 1979 and has moved steadily up the ranks for the
past 24 years.
The Inspector spoke about the increase in security since 9/11
and the new approaches and tactics law enforcement is taking to
combat terrorism. As volunteer administrators in health care
facilities it was important for the group to know about these
new approaches and consider ways (if any) they could help.
This was followed by a membership meeting that covered various
topics, which included new leadership, communications and
fund-raising. In addition, the outgoing President, Priscilla
Daniels reviewed the highlights of her presidency. This was
followed by the installation of new officers for 2003-2005.
This meeting was essential for members because it not only
offered them insight and guidance concerning and issue our
nation and city continues to combat, but it also provided an
opportunity for old and new leadership to meet and offer
guidance to each other. |
